We hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacation; with less than 3 weeks till recruitment, the brothers of Phi Gamma Delta would like to tell you a little bit about the process of rushing at UC Irvine so you feel more comfortable:
For IFC Fraternities, we follow a process of Informal Rush where for a period of 2 weeks (Week 0 & 1), all of the Fraternities hold events each day of the week where rushees (students who are interested in pledging a fraternity) can come freely and leave freely. The more you show up and the more time you spend getting to know the brothers, the better off you will be.
Should the brothers happen to see you suitable for their fraternity, they will offer you a “bid” (An invitation to pledge the fraternity) where you can choose to accept it.
