Come and join us on the UCI campus for the first annual Irvine Fun Run, a one mile race around ring road. All profits will be donated to the AYA program which focuses its efforts on cancer research for young adults between the ages of 15 and 39 who have cancer. Successful treatment for this group has drastically smaller success rates than for typical cancer patients.

This year’s event will feature a kettle corn vendor who will be donating a portion of his revenues to our cause, as well as t-shirts for everyone who participates, music, and a speaker who will educate our participants on our beneficiary and what we can all do to help. We will also hear a representative from UCI Greek Songfest, another opportunity to support the AYA program and an overall great experience.

The course will span most of the UCI campus, giving the participants a scenic tour through its educational facilities, beginning and ending at the vendor fair located at Anteater Plaza.

We will be having a competitive run as well as a recreational run to meet the needs of all our participants. For the competitive run, we will be giving out awards for the top three men and women to finish the race.

We will also be serving burgers and hot dogs as well as sodas and water to be purchased. The proceeds of these purchases will also be going towards the charity.
