The FIJI House was awarded most improved GPA among the 38 houses in Arroyo Vista, raising their average GPA to a 3.0 during the Winter quarter.

Orange County AIDS Walk

OC AIDS Walk was a huge success! It raised about $780, 000 for grants to go towards sexual education programs and AIDS related research projects. Phi Gamma Delta was also recognized by the UCI Health Education Center fpr having the most volunteer hours by any UC Irvine organization.

Pig Dinner 2008

Pig Dinner was on Saturday, May 3rd. There were over 200 undergraduate and graduate brothers who attended the event and devoured two full-size pigs. Also, the Omega Chi chapter at Chapman University received their charter. Executive Director Bill Martin and Archon President Buddy Cote both spoke at the event. Thank you all for making a presence, it was really great to be able to meet most of you face to face. Fiji and Alpha Phi steal the show at Songfest 2008

The Results are In: FIJI and partner-sorority Alpha Phi placed 3rd Overall in the 80th Annual Songfest at that took place last Thursday at the UCI Bren Events Center. Our rendition of Wicked received rave reviews from the panel of judges and a standing ovation from an audience of over 2,000. An article about the event is available from the New University. This year’s Songfest event cumulatively raised over $30,000 to help and promote the awareness of children in Africa suffering from AIDS. We hope you thoroughly enjoyed this year’s show.

Iota Chi brothers serve to initiate Omega Chi Chapter at Chapman University

Jesse Cook, Andrew Jensen, Joshua Arnaldo, Marvin Castro, and Hector Farias served on the initiation team for the installation of Phi Gamma Delta’s newest chapter at Chapman University. Jesse served as president, Andrew and treasurer, and Joshua as historian for the initiation of 62 men into the Omega Chi Chapter.
